Xochimilco neighborhood specialized in textile and tinsmithery activities, trades that have since been passed on from generation to generation. Today, we can find interesting and original pieces in craft workshops, where pedal looms are still used to weave matchless multicolor wefts. Handmade tools are still used in these shops to shape thin layers of tin into decorations, toys and kitchenware using the tumbado technique.
