Presentation :

The Elms is an exquisite Queen Anne style manor house gracing the mellow farmland of the Teme Valley. Built in 1710 by a pupil of Sir Christopher Wren, this lovely house was converted into a hotel in 1946, making this one of England’s first country house hotels. More than 50 years on, The Elms has achieved international recognition for its service, comfort and food. Antiques and comfortable furnishings adorn the gracious public rooms, which retain the original ornate plasterwork and other period touches. The bedrooms and suites each have their own character with views across the landscaped gardens and beyond. All are furnished with period antiques, well-appointed bathrooms and every amenity including Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs and DVD players. Family rooms are available, as are interconnecting rooms. Guests bringing pets can book into one of the dog-friendly Coach House bedrooms with direct access into the gardens. Brooks Restaurant, under head chef John Brandon, has a reputation for the quality of its cuisine, its excellent cellar and the attentive staff. Many of the ingredients are sourced locally, including those direct from the kitchen garden, home to an array of fruit, vegetables and over 100 herbs.  For a light lunch, enjoy exceptional views of the lawn from the airy Garden Café. The bar is open all day, so sit back and enjoy a refreshing glass of Pimm’s on the terrace or afternoon tea in one of the cosy lounges. There are 10 acres of surrounding gardens and woods to explore, and we also highly recommend a visit to the spa. A wide range of relaxing treatments are available, in addition to a gym, pool, indoor/outdoor hydrotherapy pool, thermal suite, relaxation area and rooftop terrace. The area is also rich in things to see and do, from good walking in the rolling Worcestershire countryside to cider tasting, lovely gardens to antique shops or just simply exploring. Local attractions include the kid-friendly West Midland Safari Park and the Severn Valley Steam Railway.
