Youthful, unpretentious and friendly, Bermondsey Square Hotel is located at the heart of one of London’s hippest and most vibrant neighbourhoods. The imaginative design combines trendy industrial chic with a homely, comfortable vibe.
The 90 bedrooms are fully equipped with luxury beds, fast Wi-Fi, rainforest showers, White Company toiletries and 32 inch LED TVs. Some rooms give out onto a private terrace overlooking the square, and for extra luxury, consider a suite on the upper floors with London skyline views. The Lucy in the Sky Suite is particularly stunning, complete with a six person Jacuzzi on the private outdoor terrace.
Downstairs is comfortable lounge with small library and lots of work space. A continental breakfast is served here, followed by all-day menu including modern British favourites such as Angus beef burgers, soda battered fish & chips and roast free-range chicken. Bermondsey Square doesn’t serve alcohol, but those so inclined will find a variety of first rate bars and pubs on the doorstep.
In the last few years, Bermondsey Street has become a culinary destination in its own right, so the choice of nearby restaurants couldn’t be better. The famous Bermondsey Antiques Market is held outside the hotel every Friday, and the culinary delights of Borough Market are a short stroll away. From here, the best of the South Bank can be explored on foot, including Tower Bridge, City Hall, the Design Museum, the Tate Modern, the Shard and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
